Let us tell you a little about Bunkhouse Inn
and what we have to offer.
Like the spokes in a wheel, many roads lead to and from our community of Isabel, South Dakota. Located near many large hubs, as well as small rural towns, our location allows us to serve hunters wanting to get away from the crowd, tradespeople who want to be locally situated and travelers who want to rest along their way.
We bought Bunkhouse Inn in 2004 with one goal in mind – to provide clean, comfortable rooms at an affordable price.
We completely renovated the main building, replaced plain beds and chairs with hand-crafted furniture and added additional cabins with a nearby bath building. With the road warrior in mind, we installed satellite TV, microwaves and refrigerators in every room. In addition to the traveler, we also kept in mind our local draw of hunting, which brings thousands of hunters to the area. To best serve them, we installed kennels for their dogs, as well as a cleanout area to dress wild game.

We provide clean
rooms with soft beds.
We have several rooms to choose from, as well as two cabins situated behind the main building which share a bathhouse, picnic table and grill. Room availability varies from season to season, and we do everything we can to accommodate guests.
We charge one fee (varies by number of occupants) year round unlike other establishments who inflate their prices during the busy hunting season. Occasionally we negotiate a lower fee for individuals who wish to stay with us for longer periods of time (more than a week).
In general, only service dogs are allowed in the rooms, but we do offer kennels adjacent to Bunkhouse Inn for four-footed travelers. To maintain a clean facility, we do not allow smoking. If we find you did smoke, you will have to pay $500 cleaning charge.

GREAT FOR HUNTERS
Situated at the junction of three counties – Corson, Dewey and Ziebach – and close to two reservations – Standing Rock and Cheyenne River Sioux – Isabel, South Dakota provides an ideal base for hunters. Every year the motel fills up earlier and earlier as hunters discover the wide variety of game that populate this area. Deer, antelope, pheasant, partridge, dove, grouse and prairie dogs abound. We’re set up for hunters, their outside dogs, and their harvest.

While we do not allow animals in the rooms, we offer four comfortable kennels outside where your dogs will be safe and ready to go when you are.
